Laro: Quarantine Games of 2021

Oh my god. Can you believe it’s already April?? Time really seems to pass by differently during a pandemic. Because of the stellar government response to this virus, we are back to a work-from-home setup. Coupled with the lack of outdoor activities and the time saved by not commuting, I’ve finished a lot of video games since the year started.

None of them have really wow-ed me to the extent that they need a standalone article, but there’s still a lot to be said about each of them. So let’s go down the hole of “games I’ve played since the year started.”

Laro: Assassin’s Creed: Origins Review

I’ve reached a 97% game completion rate for Assassin’s Creed: Origins. All that’s left are the War Elephant arenas and the Hippodrome races. I don’t want to bother with those, so I can pretty much say that I’ve finished playing the game after 80 hours. I’ll be giving my thoughts on it as well as sharing a few images I’ve taken using the game’s built in photo mode.

Isip: Hyori’s Homestay and the Curation of Guests

I’ve been riding the Hallyu wave over this quarantine period and aside from binge-watching K-pop variety shows, I was fortunate to watch a very wholesome show called “Hyori’s Homestay” aka “Hyori’s Bed and Breakfast.” After months of finishing it, there is something about the show that I just can’t help but write about.

Kwarentina: I Built A PC!

Probably one of the most productive things I’ve done this quarantine is to upgrade my rig. The one which I’ve been using since 2014 needed an upgrade, and with no end in sight for the quarantine period, gaming has become a big part of my daily activity. As a high-risk individual for COVID19, I’m determined to stay at home as much as I can. Yes, apparently I do still want to live. Rather, I don’t want to die for a stupid reason lmao.

Laro: Mad Max Game Review

This is my first blog post dedicated to an entire game, but only because I feel that it deserves it. Also, this was supposed to be a video, but my lazy ass can’t be bothered to record a voiceover for my gameplay footage. And finally, I’m not satisfied with my lapel mic’s quality, so here’re some words about the 2015 Mad Max game instead.

Kwarentina: 5th month of Staying at home

00Titles 2020

Oh my golly! Can you believe that it’s already been 4 months since my last blog post? Look at how time flies! In this “new normal” that is quarantine, time seems to be both going by so quickly and yet, so very slowly. Anyway, I just wanted to let you guys know that this site isn’t dead. I have been more active on other platforms and I’ll be explaining that stuff below. So, let’s get to it!

Kwarentina: 1st month of Staying at home

It’s pretty humbling to be living at the same time as a global historical event. This pandemic will surely go down as one of the important events in modern history, having impacted a majority of the population worldwide. As the experts and the ones in power are doing their best to crack down on the invisible enemy, the majority of the population is asked to contribute in a simple way: STAY AT HOME to prevent the spread of the virus.

Everyone is affected by this community quarantine differently. It has been more than 3 weeks of staying at home at the time of this writing and I am privileged to still be functioning normally. I have to render work from home, but that means a steady pacycheck in this crisis, for which I am thankful for. It’s been a slow adjustment process, and I miss the daily movement of my once-active lifestyle. In the meantime, I have been coping by just consuming a lot of content. Here are a few things that have kept me sane in recent days:
