Project Overview
This project was a collaboration with Amihan Philippines for the entire race design. This was a very hands-on project from the logo conceptualization, to the shirt design, as well as most of the promotional materials.
The objective was to capture the coolness of Baguio, the race venue. Blue felt like the most proper color. Another part of the brief that I also agree on was that the shirt design should not be too obviously a race shirt. Nothing too obnoxious, that way they can be worn again and again in different places but still catch the eye.

Details
The race logo was based on the rare shape of the medal that they gave away. Instead of my usual mountain motif, this time I highlighted the wonderful pine trees of the north. Nothing like a silhouette of trees and birds to give you the feeling of flying.
And of course, a tribal pattern to give it its mountain heritage. It’s paying homage to the tribes whose lands we run through.
