Pinktados

If it’s not obvious yet, Pink is my color. I love the contrast it makes when I’m in the outdoors. It’s safe, visible, and not too jarring on the eyes.

Having been a part of the local mountaineering and trail running scene for a while, the mountains of Northern Luzon have become a place of rest and relaxation for me. Many times a year, my friends and I would travel there for a quick meeting with nature. The tribal tattoos of the indigenous people we met were the source of inspiration for this design.

I think this project turned out great and this was the only design I was able to mass-produce on my own. It’s been a while but I am thankful for everyone who purchased this limited run.

Based on the tattooing culture of the northern headhunters, I was inspired to add my own flair as well as use designs from all over the country. Much of the patterns came from my research on Ifugao and Igorot tattoos.

Inspired by the mountains and made for the mountains, I’ve used this on so many hikes and so have all my friends. The material is perfect for any physical activity and it’s a very eye-catching shirt.

So what did you think?
