Somehow we have reached the second half of 2021 and I am doing relatively fine. As someone who listens to every girl group drop since joining the K-pop religion last year, I’ve built my own sense of taste when it comes to this type of music. Here are my favorites of the year so far. This list will include songs from solo releases as well.

So in case you haven’t noticed yet, this quarantine period has turned me into a K-pop fanboy. I’m sorry if you initially followed this blog for travel and race reviews, but this pandemic has cancelled all outdoor activities for the foreseeable future. I’ve been riding the Hallyu wave over this quarantine period and aside from binge-watching K-pop variety shows, I was fortunate to watch a very wholesome show called “Hyori’s Homestay” aka “Hyori’s Bed and Breakfast.” After months of finishing it, there is something about the show that I just can’t help but write about.

On my daily commutes, music is one of those perks that make it more bearable. Since the beginning, I’ve been using wired earphones because I’ve found that Bluetooth ones have been very expensive. They rarely go below Php3,000 and the ones that do are usually from questionable Chinese brands with virtually no reviews. That was until I heard about the Mi Sport Bluetooth earphones. So I quickly got a pair and this is my quick unboxing and review.
Here’s a short musing I had about life and goals in my current situation.
Everyone is stressed; that isn’t new. Life is beautiful, yes, but with it comes the burden of responsibilities and commitments and other stuff that all lead to stress. We’ve all got our own way of handling it, and recently, mine has been imagining myself as an elderly Japanese man in the countryside. It’s a strange way of coping but I find that it works well for me.
