Baliktanaw: January to April 2025

It seems I’ve neglected my blog-writing duties for a while. With nothing big deserving its own post but lots of small things happening, I’ve decided to make a compilation! This one’s a rambling of the things going on in my life recently. Ikuzo!

Baliktanaw: 10 Years of JaiOnline

2024 marks the tenth year of this blog’s existence. My first blog post was made on October 22, 2014. What a ride it has been since then. As a numbers nut, I love how generous WordPress is with the stats. This post serves as my marker for a whole decade of blogging.

Baliktanaw: A boy and his Appendicitis

Tuesday to Tuesday
March 14 to 21, 2023

A few days after an out-of-town with friends, I got hit with a stomachache. I thought it was just food poisoning from the vacation, but when it persisted, I decided to have it checked. After a visit to the ER, I had my first surgery and I had my appendix removed. This is how it went.

Baliktanaw: Itzy Concert 2023

Saturday
January 14, 2023

If you’ve been following this blog for some time, then you know that I’ve been bitten by the K-pop bug since the quarantine started. However, I decided to turn it into a video instead because it can show so much more than just words and pictures. You can watch the video here, or click read more to see the transcript and the video sources I used.

Kwarentina: 5th month of Staying at home

00Titles 2020

Oh my golly! Can you believe that it’s already been 4 months since my last blog post? Look at how time flies! In this “new normal” that is quarantine, time seems to be both going by so quickly and yet, so very slowly. Anyway, I just wanted to let you guys know that this site isn’t dead. I have been more active on other platforms and I’ll be explaining that stuff below. So, let’s get to it!

Kwarentina: 1st month of Staying at home

It’s pretty humbling to be living at the same time as a global historical event. This pandemic will surely go down as one of the important events in modern history, having impacted a majority of the population worldwide. As the experts and the ones in power are doing their best to crack down on the invisible enemy, the majority of the population is asked to contribute in a simple way: STAY AT HOME to prevent the spread of the virus.

Everyone is affected by this community quarantine differently. It has been more than 3 weeks of staying at home at the time of this writing and I am privileged to still be functioning normally. I have to render work from home, but that means a steady pacycheck in this crisis, for which I am thankful for. It’s been a slow adjustment process, and I miss the daily movement of my once-active lifestyle. In the meantime, I have been coping by just consuming a lot of content. Here are a few things that have kept me sane in recent days:
