I was blessed with the opportunity to return to my favorite place in the world: Japan. It’s been four years since my last visit and instead of Tokyo, we went to Fukuoka, on the south-western side of the country. Going to Japan was a life changing experience. Coming from a sinking, third world country like the Philippines, it was a feast for my eyes to see how efficient everything could be. And although I know that it’s not all butterflies and rainbows over there, it’s now one of my favorite places to visit. In my post-Japan daily life, I often find myself remembering all the things I experienced and that gives me that extra push to work a little bit harder so I can save up for another visit.
In the meantime, I might as well write a blog about my first visit to the Land of the Rising Sun. Here are some ramblings about Japan and the memorable things I liked and observed.

This was a special day for me because it is my Mama‘s birthdaaaay! But aside from that, my company also scheduled their annual outing/team-building on this day. I was fine with missing out so Mama can celebrate her day, but she told me that since it was going to be mothers’ day on Sunday, we could just celebrate then. So I confirmed my attendance with my officemates and early in the morning, we were bound for Nasugbu, Batangas!

The last time I was in Cebu, I vowed to return. So back in August, when Cebu Pacific had their seat sale, some friends and I immediately booked tickets for Cebu. Fast forward six months later and I was on a flying piece of metal bound for my favorite island!

I have officially completed the primary objective of my life. When I was a kid, I visited a museum that had a whale shark installation. Since that day, I’ve always been fascinated by the world’s biggest fish. So when I found out that it was possible to swim alongside these giants, I immediately placed it on my bucket list.
Well, that item has been finally checked off.
