I joined a recon run for the upcoming PDL 42 event organized by Conquer Absolute Mountaineering Club. It was a blast and it also marked my 3rd sumitting of my mother mountain, Mt. Palay-palay.

The last time I was in Cebu, I vowed to return. So back in August, when Cebu Pacific had their seat sale, some friends and I immediately booked tickets for Cebu. Fast forward six months later and I was on a flying piece of metal bound for my favorite island!

Fresh from my Mt. Ulap climb, it seems that Benguet wasn’t done with me yet. Through a series of unfortunate and fortunate events, I climbed Luzon’s 2nd and 3rd highest peaks this weekend.

While I don’t usually go for “social-media mountains,” Mt. Ulap was already on my list since it’s opening last year. Finally after much delay, I was able to finish it.

I think my most valuable learning from the event was that a lot of creatives like to color their hair (mostly blonde and blue). But I got other insights and lessons as well. Read on!

I remember climbing Mt. Pulag, feeling over-encumbered by the weight of my pack as I ascended the steep trail. And I thought to myself, Do I really need to carry all these things?
