After diligently doing the recon for this race a few weeks ago, I was looking forward to this very special trail run. Finally, the big day came and I have lots to say about it. Read on to share this Deadman’s 300 V3.0 experience with me.

What started out as a simple invite to climb a minor mountain in Laguna turned out to be one of the most memorable climbs in my book. How does one go from just being curious about Mt. I recently signed up for a special trail event in the nearby area. If the name of the race doesn’t scare you, then you’re a more courageous person than me. Hearing of its reputation from my more experienced friends, I told myself to take this challenge and see if I can complete it. Sparing no excuses, I attended the recon for the Dead Man’s 300 V3.0.

This weekend, I was invited to a fun climb by my legit mountaineer friend and her legit mountaineering group. It was going to be a dayhike up one of the mountains in San Juan, Batangas followed by an overnight at the beach. Having no tent to call my own, I was having doubts if I can do an overnight escapade, but my friend assured that they will take good care of me. With no more doubts and because the mountains are calling, I confirmed my attendance to climb Mt. Hugom.

I’ve been waiting for this race since 2015 when trail-running was just a pipe dream. Now that I’m more comfortable with the trails, I’m happy to say that this was my strongest finish for a trail run yet.

After covering Run United 1 and Nike Women’s Half-Marathon, I think I’ve got the hang of taking race pictures now.

If I had to describe the past two weekends, the only word I have in mind would be “run-tastic.” 2 weekends ago, I was the unofficial photographer for the Nike Women’s Half-Marathon. Read on for the gritty details.
