Mt. Ugo marathon is the first leg of the KOTM series, the country’s most well known trailrunning series. This opener is 42 kilometers of established paths from Kayapa to the summit of Mt. Ugo and then back again. It was my first time to run this event and I was genuinely excited and scared.

Conquer T25 will always be a special run for me. Not only does it bring runners through the trails of the beautiful Tarak Ridge, it’s also the anniversary of my first trail run. So this was actually the run that started it all for my trailrunning days.

It’s a bit late, but I just have to share my year-ending trail race experience. Once again, I return to Wawa in Montalban, this time to run for Team Marupok’s Monte Alba event.

I braced myself for the longest run of my life. And without much specialized training, I relied on my muscle memory and experience with previous ultras to get through this race. Fortunately, I was able to cross the finish line with everything intact. Here are some snippets of the experience.

I recently signed up for a special trail event in the nearby area. If the name of the race doesn’t scare you, then you’re a more courageous person than me. Hearing of its reputation from my more experienced friends, I told myself to take this challenge and see if I can complete it. Sparing no excuses, I attended the recon for the Dead Man’s 300 V3.0.

Here’s a short #CommutingThought I had recently. Oftentimes, we are already capable of achieving the things we want to do. It’s just ourselves that we have to convince.
