I stood on the campsite of my mother mountain and looked up at the summit, still barely visible as the moon shone against it at around 04:30 in the morning. I can faintly make out the parrot’s beak beside it and a thought entered my head: After summiting this mountain, I have three more to go for today.

I’m sure everyone has heard of the adage, “Knowledge is power.”
But I have found this adage a bit incomplete. You might know everything there is about a certain topic, but if you don’t do anything with it, it might as well be as if you know nothing.

It’s been a while, and given the issues with the mountain, I’ve purposely avoided hiking Mt. Batulao recently. But I was finally able to return and get the actual blow-by-blow of what’s happening there. The beauty of this mountain is still undeniable, and I am glad to finally get some sense of closure regarding some of the issues with the fees and guideship.
My close friend and fitness buddy, Rosalie, took some pictures of me in action at the gym. This also serves as her practice for her new camera. Thanks for making me your subject!

I woke up early to commute to the Mall of Asia grounds for the first leg of Runrio‘s Run United series. Yawning all the way and even falling asleep for a while on the bus, I saw the enthusiastic runners board the bus with their singlets on and fussing with their gear. I felt the familiar tingle I always get as I approached the race venue. But this time, I wasn’t running. So what the hell was I doing there?

I guess I can officially call myself a trail marathoner. The second leg of Conquer’s Trail Adventure series took place in the little city of Maragondon, Cavite. There, I had the most difficult run of my life (as of now).

I joined a recon run for the upcoming PDL 42 event organized by Conquer Absolute Mountaineering Club. It was a blast and it also marked my 3rd sumitting of my mother mountain, Mt. Palay-palay.

The last time I was in Cebu, I vowed to return. So back in August, when Cebu Pacific had their seat sale, some friends and I immediately booked tickets for Cebu. Fast forward six months later and I was on a flying piece of metal bound for my favorite island!
