If I had to describe the past two weekends, the only word I have in mind would be “run-tastic.” 2 weekends ago, I was the unofficial photographer for the Nike Women’s Half-Marathon. Read on for the gritty details.

I’ve mentioned previously that I got my wallet stolen on the bus. Well, along with my hard-earned cash, my UMID and ATM cards disappeared just like that as well. So for the sake of closure, I’m going to chronicle my journey to having these replaced. Hopefully it’ll be of help to someone since crime isn’t gonna disappear any time soon.

This was a special day for me because it is my Mama‘s birthdaaaay! But aside from that, my company also scheduled their annual outing/team-building on this day. I was fine with missing out so Mama can celebrate her day, but she told me that since it was going to be mothers’ day on Sunday, we could just celebrate then. Adversity introduces man to himself
This was running through my mind as I hopped over another river crossing, my socks drenched in sweat and water, and my head pounding from the searing heat. My feet felt like they weighed tons and my lips were dry and cracked, yet I still had about 13 kilometers to go. I was seriously doubting my ability to finish, but with a grandslam on the line, I powered on.
Warning: This is going to be a very long post. I have much feelings about this race.

I was getting my friends to hike their first mountain, and I chose the beautiful Mt. Talamitam because it was relatively easy plus it had the side trip to Layong Bilog river afterwards. It was a very fun adventure and despite the heat, we were able to finish and make the climb a success!

I was blessed enough to be a contributor for a charity climb. I’ve always wanted to be of service to others, and being able to climb a mountain while doing it just seemed like the best possible scenario. This hike to my father mountain was for the benefit of the NHTA Center for Education in Cainta, Rizal.

The initial plan was to go up the Helipad, take some pictures, and go down for a quick half-day climb. But things don’t always turn out the way you plan, and sometimes that’s a good thing! Here is the entry of our extended Mt. Balagbag climb this past weekend.
